While Walkers Cheese & Onion and Monster Munch Pickled Onion clearly triumphed in their respective groups, Quavers edged past Frazzles and Nik Naks Nice & Spicy and Wotsits only narrowly defeated McCoys Steak to join them in the semi-finals.

For the penultimate stage, Wotsits were drawn against Quavers while the two onion-based flavours faced off against each other.

A controversial champion, perhaps, but a clear one. Monster Munch Pickled Onion may not be everyone's favourite flavour, but after winning every one of its battles it emerged victorious as the people's champion of crisps.

Well done, Monster Munch Pickled Onion. Well done.

Meanwhile, rumours of the next big event have already started.

Until next time...
